Akali Counter for Mid

Akali has below average waveclear early game. She is also bad at farming under turret. Counter Akali by either pushing her under turret, or freezing the wave in an uncomfortable spot.

Akali relies on her energy to output damage, and her energy recharges pretty slowly. Her best option is her , which has a long cooldown early game. Look to counter Akali by trading while she is low on energy.

Akali must walk up to the wave to farm. Look to trade with her while she is trying to farm to poke her out of lane to further cement your lead.

Akali relies on her to waveclear. Ideally she wants her to hit both you and the wave so that she clears the wave while proccing her passive to do extra damage on her next Auto Attack. Force her to either hit you or the wave, not both.

Akali gains a huge burst of damage when she gets her . The first half of Akali's is targeted and has relatively short range. The second half holds the majority of the damage, and is not targeted. A well timed stopwatch is the best Akali counter.

Akali is countered if she isn't able to snowball. She becomes useless if she cannot one shot your backline. Play safe and you should eventually outscale her.
